Rob has over 27 years global experience in growing businesses and joined Core in 2018 as CEO. Leadership and strategy experience spans General Management, Sales and Business Development, Consulting, Technology Design and Development, Commercialisation and Research Project Management. Rob holds a PhD in Mineral Processing and a Masters of Business Administration and his specialist knowledge spans all areas of Mineral Processing focussing on Flotation.
David is a highly motivated and results driven Technical Manager with extensive experience in operations, engineering management and design, new technology development and testwork design and management. With over 27 years in the minerals industry he is experienced in all elements of the project life-cycle including concept development, design, project implementation, commissioning and operations. David holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and a Master of Business and Technology.
Samuel has over 12 years of laboratory test work and management experience and joined Core in 2011. Operations experience encompasses metallurgical testing, pilot plant operations, site support and general laboratory management. Samuel holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) and effectively utilises lean management principles to sustain efficient laboratory operations.
Peter has spent the past 25 years testing and developing hydrometallurgy processes for the minerals processing industry. Since joining Core Resources in 2006, Peter has worked in a variety of commodities including copper, cobalt, nickel, zinc, gold, silver, scandium and vanadium, and is currently Core’s Albion Process™ Manager. He has contributed to the development of the Albion Process™ leaching technology for refractory sulphide concentrates and the Toowong Process leaching technology for the selective recovery of arsenic from copper concentrates.
Peter Rohner is widely respected for his technical and commercial leadership in mineral processing projects globally. His 35+ years in the mining industry have incorporated a wide range of technical and commercial roles. Peter has extensive operational experience with career roles including numerous roles as Concentrator Manager, Commissioning Manager and Technical Superintendent. In his corporate roles, Peter has provided technical input and leadership in a wide variety of pre-feasibility and feasibility studies along with significant leadership of technology commercialisation activities. Peter has extensive experience in virtually all aspects of mineral processing and extractive metallurgy with a primary focus on copper, lead, zinc, gold and silver.
Rod has over 35 years of experience in minerals processing across gravity separation, flotation and leaching of hard-to-treat precious and base metals within Australia and overseas. Rod is a co-inventor of the Albion Process™ Technology and has extensive experience across the whole Albion Process™. Rod has broad operational know-how, with global commissioning experience in gold, copper, lead and zinc operations. He also has wide process engineering, flowsheet development and plant design experience.
Lachlan is the Lead Process Engineer and Technology Manager of the Toowong ProcessTM Technology. Lachlan has over 16 years of experience in study and project management, engineering, process design, testwork design, and commissioning across a broad range of commodities including base metals, precious metals, rare earths, and impurity metals. Lachlan has extensive experience in technology development and innovation, having led the development of the Toowong Process through the phases of conceptual design, feasibility, engineering, and commercialisation.
Carla has over 25 years’ experience in metallurgical testing, plant design and processing of a wide range of commodities. She has extensive experience with base metal flotation and processing of gold ores. Carla specialises in working with clients to identify the best process solution for their project and taking this through to the plant design phase. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mineral Processing from the University of Queensland.
Maedeh has PhD and M.Sc. in mineral processing (flotation) and B.Sc. in mining engineering with over 14 years’ experience in the mining industry with a focus on the base metals beneficiation. She has worked as a process engineer for different project phases from scoping to conceptual, pre-feasibility and feasibility and trade-off studies within a multi-discipline engineering team. Over the years, she became an expert in flotation with a strong focus on flotation modelling and simulation, surface chemistry and process mineralogy.
Dylan is a Senior process engineer with over 8 years’ experience in both the mining and wastewater sectors. Dylan manages the ion exchange technology programmes at Core and is a key member of the Toowong Process team with expertise across arsenic and antimony hydrometallurgy. Dylan is also adept at METSIM, with steady state modelling an integral part of the engineering studies Core executes.
Danielle has over 10 years’ of hands-on experience in the minerals processing industry, specialising in base metal concentrators. Her expertise spans production, planning, and project metallurgy roles. She also has extensive experience in flowsheet development, test work management, pilot plants, and commissioning. Danielle’s true passion lies in process optimisation projects, where she thrives on finding the best solutions for her clients, incorporating innovative and cost-effective technologies to enhance performance and reduce costs.
James has a Bachelor of Engineering with majors in Chemical and Metallurgical engineering from UQ and over 7 years’ experience in metallurgy. He started out as a technician in fundamental pyrometallurgical research, producing thermodynamic data for use in modelling programs. As a metallurgist he has managed day to day operations in a base metal sulphide concentrator, as well as conducting on site testwork for new ore types and alternative reagent identification.
Di holds a PhD in Mineral Processing. She has a strong background in research, technology development and applications for the mining industry. As a metallurgist/process engineer at Core, she designs and manages metallurgical projects for various mining companies, with a focus on base metal flotation, gold ore processing and hydrometallurgy processes. Prior to this, Di worked as a process engineering specialist in developing novel technologies in acid mine drainage management and tailings dewatering. Di has a strong interest in advancing new technologies to tackle industry challenges to meet the demands of complex ore bodies while striving for sustainable solutions.
