Dr. Rob Coleman

Managing Director and CEO

Rob has over 25 years global experience in growing businesses and joined Core in 2018 as CEO. Leadership and strategy experience spans General Management, Sales and Business Development, Consulting, Technology Design and Development, Commercialisation and Research Project Management. Rob holds a PhD in Mineral Processing and a Masters of Business Administration and his specialist knowledge spans all areas of Mineral Processing focussing on Flotation.

David Cavanagh

David Cavanagh

GM Projects and Engineering

David is a highly motivated and results driven Technical Manager with extensive experience in operations, engineering management and design, new technology development and testwork design and management. With over 25 years in the minerals industry he is experienced in all elements of the project life-cycle including concept development, design, project implementation, commissioning and operations. David holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and a Master of Business and Technology.

Megan Naylor

GM Finance and Administration

Megan is a Fellow of CPA Australia and is an accomplished finance professional with over 20 years professional accounting experience. Megan has been a key member of Core’s management team since 2010.  Megan ensures effective financial management of the Group and, as the Company Secretary, provides corporate governance for the Group.

Laboratory Manager

Samuel has over 10 years of laboratory test work and management experience and joined Core in 2011. Operations experience encompasses metallurgical testing, pilot plant operations, site support and general laboratory management. Samuel holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) and effectively utilises lean management principles to sustain efficient laboratory operations.

Albion Process and Pilot Plant Manager

Peter has spent the past 22 years testing and developing hydrometallurgy processes for the minerals processing industry. Since joining Core Resources in 2006, Peter has worked in a variety of commodities including copper, cobalt, nickel, zinc, gold, silver, scandium and vanadium, and is currently Core’s Pilot Plant Manager. He has contributed to the development of the Albion Process™ leaching technology for refractory sulphide concentrates and the Toowong Process leaching technology for the selective recovery of arsenic from copper concentrates.

Peter Rohner

Peter Rohner

Peter Rohner is widely respected for his technical and commercial leadership in mineral processing projects globally. His 35+ years in the mining industry have incorporated a wide range of technical and commercial roles. Peter has extensive operational experience with career roles including numerous roles as Concentrator Manager, Commissioning Manager and Technical Superintendent. In his corporate roles, Peter has provided technical input and leadership in a wide variety of pre-feasibility and feasibility studies along with significant leadership of technology commercialisation activities. Peter has extensive experience in virtually all aspects of mineral processing and extractive metallurgy with a primary focus on copper, lead, zinc, gold and silver.

Rod Ventura

Rod Ventura

Rod has over 35 years of experience in minerals processing across gravity separation, flotation and leaching of hard-to-treat precious and base metals within Australia and overseas. Rod is a co-inventor of the Albion Process™ Technology and has extensive experience across the whole Albion Process™. Rod has broad operational know-how, with global commissioning experience in gold, copper, lead and zinc operations. He also has wide process engineering, flowsheet development and plant design experience.

Lachlan MacDonald

Lachlan MacDonald

Lachlan is the Lead Process Engineer and Technology Manager of Core’s Toowong Process Technology. Lachlan has over 15 years of experience in study and project management, engineering, process design, testwork design, and commissioning across a broad range of commodities including base metals, precious metals, rare earths, and impurity metals. Lachlan has extensive experience in technology development and innovation, having led the development of the Toowong Process through the phases of conceptual design, feasibility, engineering, and commercialisation.

Oliver Kloiber-Deane

Oliver Kloiber-Deane

Oliver has 18 years’ experience in the hydrometallurgical processing of sulphide and oxide ores and concentrates. Since starting in copper, cobalt and nickel sulphide hydrometallurgy in 2003 Oliver has worked across most commodities in hydrometallurgical testwork, piloting, flowsheet development, process engineering, production support and process simulation. Oliver holds degrees in chemical engineering and mathematics.

Carla Kaboth

Carla Kaboth

Carla has 24 years’ experience in metallurgical testing, plant design and processing of a wide range of commodities.  She has extensive experience with base metal flotation and processing of gold ores. Carla specialises in working with clients to identify the best process solution for their project and taking this through to the plant design phase. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mineral Processing from the University of Queensland.

Dr. Maedeh Tayebi-Khorami

Dr. Maedeh Tayebi-Khorami

Maedeh has PhD and M.Sc. in mineral processing (flotation) and B.Sc. in mining engineering with over 13 years’ experience in the mining industry with a focus on the base metals beneficiation. She has worked as a process engineer for different project phases from scoping to conceptual, pre-feasibility and feasibility and trade-off studies within a multi-discipline engineering team. Over the years, she became an expert in flotation with a strong focus on flotation modelling and simulation, surface chemistry and process mineralogy.

Dylan Molver

Dylan Molver

Dylan is a Senior process engineer with 7 years’ experience in both the mining and wastewater sectors. Dylan manages the ion exchange technology programmes at Core and is a key member of the Toowong Process team with expertise across arsenic and antimony hydrometallurgy. Dylan is also adept at METSIM, with steady state modelling an integral part of the engineering studies Core executes.

Jonathan Brundle

Jonathan Brundle

Jonathan has over 10 years’ experience in mineral processing. Jonathan joined Core Resources in 2017 as a Coordinator, where his responsibilities were centred around the planning and execution of the metallurgical work. He is currently the Geometallurgy Project Manager responsible for the development, execution and analysis of Core’s geometallurgical testwork programs. His extensive expertise covers the planning and management of large testwork projects, coordination of pilot plant testwork and team and client management.

James McMaster

James McMaster

James has a Bachelor of Engineering with majors in Chemical and Metallurgical engineering from UQ and over 7 years’ experience in metallurgy. He started out as a technician in fundamental pyrometallurgical research, producing thermodynamic data for use in modelling programs. As a metallurgist he has managed day to day operations in a base metal sulphide concentrator, as well as conducting on site testwork for new ore types and alternative reagent identification.
