Core Resources is pleased to announce the successful completion of initial metallurgical testing in collaboration with Altilium Group Ltd. This testing marks a significant milestone for the Resouro (ASX: RAU; TSXV: RSM; FSE: 8TX) Strategic Metals Inc. Tiros Project, as it applies the advanced Altilium Ti/REE Process™ to a composite sample from the project.
The focus of this phase was to maximise the extraction of rare earth elements (REE) from the Tiros Project in Brazil. By incorporating a pre-treatment process, unprecedented rare earth extractions were achieved, setting new industry benchmarks for REE recovery. The tests demonstrated the capability of Altilium’s innovative technology to deliver superior results, positioning both Core Resources and Altilium as leaders in sustainable metallurgy solutions.
A Cutting-Edge approach to Rare Earth extraction
The Tiros Project, which holds significant potential for rare earth and titanium extraction, benefitted from Core’s industry-leading metallurgical expertise. Working with Altilium, the testing aimed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Altilium Ti/REE Process™ for the recovery of critical minerals. The composite sample, processed at our Brisbane laboratories, was air-dried and milled before undergoing three leach tests to assess metal extractions.
The results were outstanding, particularly the third test that utilised a pre-treatment process, yielding the highest rare earth extractions known in the industry to date. This confirms the capability of the Altilium process to optimise metal recovery from the Tiros deposit.
