Recent metallurgical testwork completed by Core Resources for Godolphin Resources’ (ASX: GRL) Lewis Ponds Project in NSW has delivered significantly improved flotation outcomes, including higher concentrate grades and stronger impurity rejection across both lead and zinc circuits. The results provide updated metallurgical inputs for ongoing study work and resource modelling.

Key Results
Flotation testwork on two metallurgical domains within the orebody (Disseminated and Semi-Massive) produced two high-quality concentrates:
- Clean zinc concentrate grading >64% Zn
- Low-impurity, high-grade lead–gold–silver concentrate (>31% Pb, >16.7 g/t Au, >1,580 g/t Ag)
The program recorded a clear uplift in gold recovery and a notable reduction in zinc reporting to the lead concentrate compared to historical testwork. Differential flotation performance was strong, with effective separation of zinc into the zinc concentrate and consistent upgrading of gold and silver into the lead concentrate.
Core Resources’ Role
Core Resources conducted the metallurgical testwork program, including sample preparation, comminution preparation and flotation circuit assessments. Representative drill core from GLPDD006–009 was grouped into two ore domains based on sulphide content and combined lead–zinc grade.
Core completed crushing, homogenisation and preparation of flotation aliquots, followed by sequential rougher and cleaner flotation. The work confirmed improved concentrate quality and selectivity, providing robust metallurgical data to support process design and future flowsheet evaluation.
Next Steps
The testwork outcomes will support several upcoming project activities, including:
- Updating the Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), incorporating revised metallurgical recoveries
- Progressing the Scoping Study, which will utilise the new concentrate data
- Additional drilling to test resource extensions south of the current mineralised footprint
- Continuing metallurgical studies, including CIL assessments, mineralogy and gravity recovery work
