We are pleased to share the results of Rox Resources Limited’s Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) for their 100%-owned Youanmi Gold Project, located in Western Australia’s Murchison region. The study highlights the project’s potential as a high-grade, high-margin gold operation with a projected initial mine life of 7.7 years.
Core Resources played a critical role in the metallurgical testwork for this study, contributing to the successful implementation of the Albion Process™. The results demonstrated that Youanmi could produce 786,000 ounces of gold over its life-of-mine (LOM), at an impressive All-In Sustaining Cost (AISC) of A$1,676/oz. Financial analysis forecasts a strong pre-tax NPV8 of $486 million, reinforcing the project’s significant upside.
Metallurgical Testwork and Albion Process™ Success
The Albion Process™, a core testwork service of Core Resources, was instrumental in achieving high recovery rates from refractory ores, with the process enhancing gold extraction and reducing operational costs. By using fine grinding and oxidative leaching, the Albion Process™ enables higher recovery of gold from challenging ores, making it the ideal choice for the Youanmi Gold Project.
This technology ensures Rox Resources can achieve reliable processing outcomes, crucial to the project’s overall economic viability.
Future Development
The PFS results have cleared the path for Rox Resources to advance the project to the Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) phase. As the project develops, Core Resources will continue to provide support with ongoing testwork, ensuring that optimal metallurgical performance is maintained.
