Toowong Process is a Finalist at the Australian Innovation Challenge

Core’s Toowong Process technology has been named as a finalist at the Australian Innovation Awards ceremony in Canberra on November 25th.  We are proud to be the only minerals finalist in the Minerals and Energy category of the awards.  The Toowong Process is a new technology for removing deleterious elements such as arsenic and antimony from base metal concentrates.  The team nominated in the award included Peter Rohner, Dr Duncan Turner, David Nakon, Lachlan MacDonald and Peter Kunst.

A video of the event is on The Australian’s website here.  The Minerals and Energy Category awards are shown from 38:30.

Government representatives at the event included Wyatt Roy MP, Assistant Minster for Innovation, and Senator the Hon Kim Carr, under whom the awards were first launched 5 years ago.

Lachlan MacDonald was able to attend the ceremony at the Questacon on 25th November, along with David Walker, seo one click Business Development Manager.

It has been terrific to see the technology gain this national recognition, and we are pleased with the interest it has generated in the industry.  Core is currently in advanced discussions with a number of projects interested in using the technology, along with other groups interested in acquiring the technology.
