Core Resources is proud to have supported the design, engineering, delivery and commissioning of the Flexi-Lab at the Resources Centre of Excellence (RCOE) Stage 2 Future Industries Hub in Mackay, which has now officially launched.
The official opening marks a major milestone for the Future Industries Hub and reflects a shared vision to position Central Queensland at the forefront of minerals innovation, skills development and industry capability.
This project has been built on strong collaboration and a shared commitment to delivering the Future Industries Hub. Core was pleased to work alongside RCOE, the Queensland Government, Mackay Regional Council, The University of Queensland Sustainable Minerals Institute (UQ SMI), DGH, Products For Industry (PFi) and A1 Hose Repairs in supporting the delivery of the Flexi-Lab.
The Flexi-Lab is a versatile minerals processing pilot facility that bridges the gap between lab research and commercial deployment. It will support critical minerals recovery, tailings reprocessing, equipment validation, applied research and hands-on workforce training.
- For industry: Provides a practical, low-risk environment to test and optimise processing strategies.
- For education and research: Delivers real-world training that builds future workforce capability.
- Economically: Unlocks new value streams and attracts investment to the region.
Core is pleased to contribute our technical expertise to projects that strengthen regional capability, support innovation and deliver practical outcomes for industry.
Congratulations to everyone involved in reaching this important milestone.
