Core Resources is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Rob Coleman as Chief Executive Officer, commencing in early August. Dr Coleman brings a strong combination of technical expertise and leadership experience to guide the company’s next phase of growth in metallurgical testing and process engineering services.
Dr Coleman holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, a PhD in Minerals Processing from the Julius Kruttschnitt Mineral Research Centre (JKMRC) at The University of Queensland, and an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business. His appointment reinforces Core’s commitment to leadership grounded in both technical and commercial expertise.
Dr Coleman’s global experience in the minerals processing industry spans over two decades. He has held senior positions with leading organisations, including Technology Director – Beneficiation at Outotec and Flotation Group Manager at JKTech. His consulting work has supported major mining operations worldwide, including BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, Anglo American, Barrick, Freeport McMoRan, Newcrest and First Quantum Minerals.
With deep expertise across all aspects of mineral processing, and a particular focus on flotation, Dr Coleman’s leadership will further enhance Core’s ability to deliver innovative solutions across complex metallurgical projects. His background in developing and commercialising mineral processing technologies aligns well with Core’s specialisation in process development, pilot plant operations and hydrometallurgical process design.
