Core Resources is proud to have played a role in the development of Lode Resources’ newly acquired Montezuma Antimony Project, located in Tasmania’s premier West Coast Mining Province. This high-grade antimony-silver-lead deposit represents a significant addition to Australia’s critical minerals sector, addressing growing demand for antimony in applications such as solar panel manufacturing and lead alloys.
Innovative Metallurgical Testwork and Process Design
Core conducted early-stage metallurgical testwork and designed an innovative process flowsheet tailored to the Montezuma deposit. The flowsheet utilises low-cost, accessible methods to recover antimony efficiently from Jamesonite, with silver and lead as valuable by-products.
Highlights of the testwork include:
- Achieving 90% recovery of antimony, producing a high-quality, saleable sodium pyroantimonate product.
- Generating a high-grade silver-lead concentrate with grades of up to 2,575 g/t Ag and 60% Pb.
- Designing a scalable and efficient process that can be implemented with readily available equipment.
Supporting Critical Mineral Needs
With the Montezuma Antimony Project’s significant beneficiation infrastructure and metallurgical advancements, this acquisition strengthens Lode Resources’ portfolio and contributes to Australia’s critical mineral supply chain. As the project moves forward Core Resources will continue to provide expertise and support to optimise operations and ensure sustainable outcomes.
